About 3 years ago I started taking Gus my 11 year old dog to Dr. A. The first thing Dr. A told me just by looking at him I was feeding him wrong. Si I changed his diet as recommend and what a change in Gus. Now I have Snowball who is 2 years old and goes to Dr. A's for his visits to the Vet. The staff and Dr. A are friendly and very caring people. You don't feel like your in an assemble line.

My animals have been patients of Dr. A's for 2 years. What a relief to find someone who will honor our wishes for minimal vaccinations and natural alternatives to western medicine. With a raw diet, and titers instead of automatic-annual vaccines, our animals are thriving. No more poisons in their systems-it's not necessary!!! The staff at Squib and Valley Vet are wonderful and caring.

There are no words to describe the gratitude we have to Dr. Peter and his wonderful staff for saving the life of our precious boy, Bernie. Last summer, a couple of month's before he was to turn two, our rottie started to wobble and fall. He became weaker and weaker and lost the ability to walk or even stand. He was diagnosed with Wobbler's Syndrome and two vets and a neurologist gave him 6 months to live. We were referred to Squibnocket through a friend of a friend. I will never forget the loving care he was given - how Kendra, Kelly, Annie and Dani helped me lift him out of the car and the encouragement he was given to persevere. It is amazing how the combination of diet, herbs, accupuncture, PMT and water therapy affected him. He went from weak with bedsores on his legs to strong and happy. He was 3 in September and continues to love life - and everyone at Squibnocket! This is like no other Veterinary Clinic we have ever experienced - the best of the best!

A number of people told me that at age 10, my Shepherd, Midnight, would be on pain killers for the rest of his "short" life because he was limping so badly that he could barely walk. It's now 14 months later and he's like a puppy. I beg him to slow down because he wants to run during our walks. I tire out before he does!! A diet change, herbs, acupuncture, and laser has worked miracles and I'm particularly grateful to Dr. A and his staff for how they greet Midnight and treat him like the King that he is!

SQUIBNOCKET IS THE BEST!!!
My 1-year-old cat suffered a severe back injury that left her almost paralyzed and with little to no feeling in her hind-end. I brought her to my regular vet and they took x-rays and bloodwork and everything came back normal. The doctor suggested it was a spinal injury but had no idea how to treat it. I was told to âwait and see.â It had been a week since my kitten went from young and playful to unable to stand. It was heartbreaking and âwait and seeâ was not an option.
I called another holistic vet who recommended an oral homeopathic remedy. Her condition improved over the next week and then plateaued. Thatâs when I decided to find a vet who offered acupuncture. It was my only hope. And it brought me to Squibnocket.
It had been 4 weeks since the initial injury and Dr. Peter was very concerned about my catâs condition. He came up with a plan to start her on electro-acupuncture and an herbal remedy. He was honest that he wasnât sure if it would work or how quickly weâd see results because her condition was really poor.
So, it was a wonderful surprise when I brought her home and opened the crate to watch her stroll out of the box and lift her tail. An hour prior, she had been unable to stand and had no movement in her tail. The following week when I brought her in for a second treatment, the doctor and staff were just as excited as I was at her progress. Everyone wanted to come in and see her walking around with her tail up. It goes to show how much they really care about their patients.
I canât tell you how much I love the staff at Squibnocket! After several 20-minute sessions of acupuncture, Iâve had the opportunity to chat with most of them personally and they are all great people who really care about animals. I would recommended this vet to anyone and especially to those whoâve had the frustrating experience of dealing with other vets who donât explore all options of medical care.
Thank you Squibnocket for doing what you do!

I have a young cat Mittens over a year old who has respiratory problems. Dr. A and his staff began to see her several months ago or so. Prior to that her problem stayed the same and she was unable to get spayed due to inability to handle the sedation well with very labored breathing. No other solutions were offered except that the cat had a mechanical rib cage deformity and she would have to live with it. Now I have hope that by changing her diet, using herbs and antibiotics to help her immune system she is going to get better. The environment is so warm and friendly and the atmosphere makes me as a pet owner feel good. They have won my trust.

All of our animals over the years-Candi,Chelsea and now Hannah have been patients with Dr.A at Valley Vet, Squibnocked and Marta's. We have always been pleased with the attentiveness of both Dr.A and his staff. Even though our newest family member Hannah has been quite a handful I never leave feeling that I have burdened anyone. Now that they also treat their patients with natural and holistic medicine I am even more pleased. We live in such a chemical world and to have a choice even in pet healthcare is awsome. Thank you Dr.A and everyone else. You guys are wonderful and I do recommend you to others.

My poor cat had suffered for years' on and off with endless itching and scratching, inflamed ears, bladder infections and endless visits to several different vets which never cured her, just treated her symptoms. She felt miserable, didn't want to be touched, was light in weight, and every few months would flare up again. Canned food with the 2nd ingredient being a chemical that when researched, turned out would eventually cause kidney problems, was suggested. I refused to give her the food and spent hours on the internet trying to find a treatment for her, only to find a raw diet. It worked for awhile, and then the cycle of pain started again. I was so confused, I would take out ingredients from her food thinking she was allergic and started another recipe. Nothing worked, I felt defeated and sad that she was miserable. I knew I had to get her help, but had already spent hundreds with traditional vets to no avail.
When someone told me about a vet in
Brookfield that was "unbelievably wonderful with animals and their ailments" I booked an appointment for a diet consultation. My cat was allowed to walk around the room, rather than being muzzled in previous appointments and examined. That appointment was two months ago, all her problems are gone, AND I have been blessed with a happy cat that feels healthier and has gained weight. I would swear that Squibnocket are indeed "kitty whisperers". I cannot thank them enough.

A year ago, my German Shepherd Kasch was miserable. He was scratching his ears until they were raw and bleeding, licking his paws raw, and constantly having diarrhea. He was on antihistamines and steroids almost year round... and then we came to Squibnocket. Dr A and his staff were very kind and thorough. Kasch was taken off all of his medications and put on chinese herbs. He also had a few laser acupuncure treatments..Each time we arrived at the office , we were greeted warmly. Kasch was always happy to see Dr A and his staff throughout his treatment. After a while he was weaned off of the chinese herbs as well. That was 6 months ago and today he remains very comfortable. He is no longer scratching, chewing or having an upset tummy... and no more medication! We couldn't be more happy with the care and treatment which Kasch received. Dr A and his staff are always kind, caring and professional. From the start I felt that we were treated with genuine concern and not just as "another patient". Thank you to everyone at Squibnocket for such wonderful care.

My rescued Great Pyrenees has been a patient at Squibnocket for the last several months. She has been coming for physical therpay for a torn ACL. While surgery in the future is almost inevitable, she has benefitted greatly from her physical therapy. Dr. A. offers a staggering array of treatment modalities by combining his vast knowledge of both Eastern and Western medicine. The staff here is by far the most professional, dedicated and caring of any staff I have encountered. They truly go above and beyond to help both client and owner feel comfortable. Dr. A's expertise is equally matched by his genuine care and concern for his clients. This office serves as an example of what superior customer service should look like.

Last year, my rottweiler Cain experienced partial paralysis and was in indescribable pain. He was on heavy narcotics and rest for a month, although pain hardly gives you a "rest". After minimal results with one vet, I went to Dr A and was really surprised at the varied treatments and the amount of personal attention of himself and staff. He watched my dog intently and really studied his body movement and flexibility to diagnose the problem and get him moving. At the time, Cain was only able to walk for 20 minutes at a time, had very pale gums, and used a ramp to get in and out of my home. I was hopeful after the appointment, but was exhausted from the stress of watching him in pain, so my original expectation was low. However, I couldnt believe the variety of treatments available...lasers, magnetic blanket, underwater treadmill, the 9 day pulse therapy, and the large "jacuzzi" for therapy. Admittedly, I was leery about the Eastern traditions but took a chance and changed Cains diet to a homemade one. "Surprise", within 2 -3 weeks, Cain was PULLING ME on our walks and could now go up to an hour!!! He is so happy, but now he thinks any food I cook is his-so we are working on that. I only wish I had started this sooner, as I now have a PUPPY again! Although I know Cain won't last forever and is irreplaceable, his treatment will always be in this place and he will continue to whine and beg for treats that he knows he can get with just a sad look.....what is better than that???
